Needless to say we are huge fans of Tom Pigeon, we have several pieces hanging in Roomie HQ and they stand the test of time. They never disappoint to sit perfectly within an interior space, but also be a stand alone, stand out piece. We chat to the team at Tom Pigeon, Pete and Kirsty Thomas, about daily creative life in Scotland.
What would be the most interesting/ most loved decorative piece that you own?
I really like graphics and type and I have a much-loved collection of vintage exhibition and advertising posters which make me very happy. Posters for Chillida exhibitions printed brown parcel paper, a German poster from the 60’s telling us to each fish twice a week and an old Tate Modern poster for a Richard Hamilton retrospective back in the eighties.
Do you have anything for the home on your wish list right now?
I feel like I need less and less things for the house as I grow older. However, winter is creeping in here in Scotland and I would love a Louise Grey quilt for our bed. Beautiful and practical.
Do you have a particular designer that you admire most?
What is your favourite room in your home and why?
What/where is on your travel bucket list?
Where to start… India for the colour, pattern and culture, Japan for the buzz and the serenity, Canada for the people, landscapes and kayaking.
Tom Pigeon is available to Kiwi’s via international shipping (rates are not scary!) at their site: www.tompigeon.com
