The New Zealand Fashion Museum is the first of its kind internationally, based entirely online. NZFM have teamed up with Karakter, to bring the 70s rocking back into Parnell, in the form of an exhibition showcasing the fashion of the free generation. Alongside denim flares and kimono pant suits, are iconic mid-century furniture pieces – and these, for us, stole the show.
We highly recommend that you put this exhibition on your to-do list for this weekend. Not only is it housed in the incredible Geyser Building, designed by Patterson Architects – but Karakter, the supplier for the exhibitions furniture – is right around the corner – and full of locally and internationally sourced mid century gems.
