Updating kids rooms can be daunting, as they accumulate so much ‘stuff’ that a new fresh room can seem impossible. The holidays are a perfect time to have a good old fashioned clear out – toys they no longer play with, clothes they no longer fit – organise these away into long term storage, or give to the sallies. If needed – give the room a decent clean and a lick of paint then set a budget for the room – what is needed?
If major pieces of furniture (bed, desk etc) are already sorted, then a refresh can be fairly inexpensive – but splurging on a few quality items can be a good investment – especially bedding. Above is a round up of a few favourites – some just fun updates, others quality investment pieces. The budget for this update is under $800 – and its great to mix up department store finds with bespoke handmade items to achieve an eclectic and affordable style.
We love the new range from Burrow and Be, gorgeous handpainted duvets – these can be easily updated and changed with the addition of a few colourful accessories. Fun! Pop over and read our recent article on Stuff – all about getting the kids involved. Project!
